Reminder: E3 starts on June 10th

It's almost that time again. Where everything about the next year or two in gaming is revealed.
This year is going to be special as it's new console time. With Microsoft manage to win back the people after a disastrous reveal and the information that followed? Will Sony show what the PS4 is truly capable of? Will Nintendo finally give people a reason to buy Wii U, while reimbursing current owners with an Ambassador program similar to the 3DS? We'll just have to wait and see.

The chaos begins next Monday at 12 PM Eastern, 9 AM Pacific with Microsoft's conference. If the last two years are anything to go by, it's going to be a Kinect-tinted trainwreck.

Of course, Bores is going because GotGame is run by morons that won't pay for the actual talent to go. Aqualung? ReviewTechUSA? Yuriofwind? Give these people a chance and leave Bores in the dust.

I predict his videos will start going up the Monday after the event ends (June 17th), which at this point would be pointless since everything he'll cover will have been on the internet for days.

That's it for now. If your tolerance of console fanboys is low, avoid the internet next week.

  1. I'm kind of surprised you haven't made a post about the fact there's actual proof now that Chris Bores really IS Buggin. Do you have something else planned for that?

    1. i didnt know about this what is the proof that u guys found out because i had a hunch from the beginning that he was pretending to be his mom the whole time?

    2. Do you recall that guy who did the Batdan Sucks blog? Well, it turns out he was only pretending to be insane, and actually gained Bores' trust enough to be able to send him and Buggin an IP-tracking message, proving his identity.

You can see that here: http://batdansucks.wordpress.com/2013/06/02/whoops-look-like-the-bosconian-spy-ship-got-away/

And to be honest, I think EVERYONE knew it was Bores the whole time, we just didn't have any kind of definitive proof until now.

    3. Oh man. That means we all got trolled. Kudos to him for tricking all of us into thinking he was batshit insane.

    4. Ummm...hang on. Not defending anyone here, but if Chris & his Mum live together (don't know if they do, but IF they do), their ip address would be the same regardless, wouldn't it?

      Delete
    5. What sort of person lives with his mother even as an adult? Unless Chris is actually financially poor...

      Delete
    6. If chris lives together then that simply raises even more questions! Since IP addresses change from computer to computer so that would mean that Chris Bores and his mother use the SAME computer? Let's not even begin on how she has never been a video (haunted investigators doesn't count since chris moved outside of his house) or how LB and Irate Gamer couldn't even come up with that excuse in a short time frame.

Even if that's the case then it doesn't matter anymore, it might as well be Chris Bores as LB since he is literally allowing it to happen right in front him.

  3. Hopefully, he doesn't bash Nintendo for being kiddy this year.

  4. Well considering what I've already heard of what is going to happen at E3 I'm not going to bother even watching the coverage. Nothing there will interest me since I abhor Microsoft and they most likely aren't going to change that sentiment, Sony I will wait on that one, and Nintendo probably won't even really have a conference so no reason to watch there.

    ReplyDelete
  5. And expect to see Chris praising the everlasting fuck out of the PS4 and Skylanders, given his Sony fanboyism... XD And I do agree with you, CrusaderRabbit-- let's hope Bores doesn't treat Nintendo like crap for being "kiddy" and "not adult enough".

  7. You think he'll even realize that Nintendo is doing their show online rather than holding a live show, or will he just claim that they're not doing anything this year like all the other uninformed halfwits out there?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Oh so that's what is happening I didn't know since most people just say that Nintendo is just doing one for the press. Of course the internet is really not the best source of information.

      Delete
    2. Well, you can probably blame people without the attention spans to actually READ articles about their approach to E3 this year, as well as sensationalist gaming journalists who post misleading headlines like "Nintendo Skipping E3", with almost no context.

To answer your question in more detail, Nintendo is holding an hour long Nintendo Direct on June 11, as well as holding smaller closed door conferences for the press and investors, and possibly a couple others, including a show dedicated to the new Pokemon game hosted on June 10 if my information is correct. Additionally, they'll have one of the larger show floors for game demos, which will be available to the general public through select Best Buy stores across the country, and presumably their own Nintendo World Store in New York City as well.

      Delete
    3. Man, I miss when that store was a pokemon center...

      Delete
    4. I hear the Pokémon selection is still there, in addition to broadening to the rest of Nintendo. I still think it's nonsense that Boring Man insists Nintendo is kiddy, yet can't get enough of Skylanders. I may be a nerd, but nerds do have to set boundaries somewhere.

      Delete
    5. You know it's still funny how people go on about Nintendo being kiddy still and yet there are games to back up Nintendo being for the whole family. Anyone remember Kirby's Dreamland 3's final boss, how about Kirby 64, of course who could forget pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of time/darkness/sky. Yeah Nintendo is so kiddy NOT!

  8. Well since it's getting near E3 I'm going to do something just for fun here, My E3 predictions. I predict Microsoft will not assuage peoples fears about the Xbox One and that the games would be the same old stuff they've been doing. Sony will have a better going with the PS4 but the price tag might not sit well with people. Nintendo is most likely going to have a lackluster conference and we will see the games they have already shown last time.

    1. Already wrong about Nintendo. We know that they'll have playable demos of the HD 3D Mario and Mario Kart, as well as footage of Smash Bros.

      Delete
    2. Well I did say it was just for fun.

      Delete
    3. I'm wagering on Nintendo's at least being a solid, if mostly predictable conference, since there's at least five or six games confirmed for Wii U that we haven't seen footage of yet, at least three of which we know we'll see at E3 first. And you never know when Nintendo will drop a surprise or two, like they did back in 2010. And of course, the 3DS is pretty much set until the end of this year to the beginning of next, but I bet we'll see a bit more footage of upcoming titles for it as well.

Sony could go either way at this point. We at least know a few exclusives are coming to the PS4, and they're in a prime position to pick up a lot of the people that Microsoft has pissed off with the Xboned and all the cringe worthy bad news surrounding it. Then again, if the launches of the PS3 and the Vita have taught us anything, it's that no one can drop the ball like Sony does. Also, considering that this is the Vita's second post launch E3, unless they REALLY give people a reason to buy it (the PS4 does not count as a reason), it's pretty much dead in the water.

Microsoft... Dear lord, I really hope their new console crashes and burns. I'm sorry, but unless they drop all their bullshit anti consumer practices that they've been touting, this thing HAS to bomb, or you know that Sony will follow suit, and possibly Nintendo as well. They've promised gamers a lot, with 15 exclusives including 8 new IPs, but they've made it perfectly clear to anyone with eyes that they couldn't care less about gamers. We can't let crap like this set the curve, or it's game over for all of us.

      Delete
    4. Yeah I've never been a fan of Microsoft then came the 360 and Microsoft practices that came with that made me hate Microsoft more. I'm not a Nintendo fanboy for those Microsoft ones by the way since well Mario 64 might have been my first game I did have a PS2 when I was young, still have it too. In fact in my childhood I almost had a game for every genre.

    7. So apparently over on Joseph's new channel, Chris finally exposed the fact that Ladybuggin isn't his mom.

      http://s1363.photobucket.com/user/DouchebagIsYou57/media/ProofthatladybugginisntChrisBoresmom_zps5f4a449d.png.html?sort=3&o=0

As shown earlier, there is indeed now proof that Linda DeCaro is indeed Chris Bores mom. However on Joseph's channel he lets slip the fact that his name isn't Linda, as seen here. Not really sure how much more confirmation is needed, but wanted to point it out after seeing this.

    8. Just love the fact that after showing things like this that Joseph deletes comments so people don't see the truth.

    10. If they have the same great grand-father that would make them second cousins.

Totally legal to date them as the bloodline is diluted enough to mostly avoid inbreeding illnesses.

But if you're really that neurotic about genetics and want the best child possible, you shouldn't even marry someone of your own race even!

      Delete
    11. I think the problem is that his date is still apart of his family, which while not inbreeding, shows that Chris has no real social skills to get a woman who is not predisposed towards him.

  10. Personally, I think the Xbox One will have the hardest time trying to win over buyers with how badly the reveal went over. Not everybody has an internet connection of their own, so an online-only console would be out of the question for people like me and my family. While the multimedia capabilities will probably entice people who use their game console for those reasons primarily, unless there are actual games talked about at E3, I won't buy one in the near future. The Playstation 4 did have some interesting titles in their launch video, but there's a possible 64% price drop on the PS3 around the time of the PS4's announcement. I've wanted a PS3 for a while, so I might snag a marked-down one, some games, and some Blu-Ray movies. As for the Wii U-that is currently the eighth-generation console I'm most interested in. Apart from what's already out, Sonic Lost World, The Wonderful 101, Super Smash Bros. Universe, New Super Luigi U, and classic NES games as low as 30 cents are ample justification for me to get one within the next few years. It's always been the games that convince me to buy a particular system, more than any multimedia capabilities or control inputs. So, I can expect Boring man to care fuck-all about this and once again say "vewy coo" to almost everything, even stuff that ends up sucking. See you around, Dan.

    1. Or he'll completely gloss it over. Just not talk about Pokémon Rumble U or Disney Infinity; which will probably broaden the horizon of this whole video game+trading figure game combination. Rumble U in particular has the figures as an option and will help show off what the Wii U Gamepad can do. Far as I'm concerned, if he's gone this long without mentioning it (outside of brushing off Mewtwo in Super Smash Bros. Brawl), he's probably not going to bother with it given his glut of Skylanders videos. I doubt he even knows about them. Wouldn't be the first time, and probably won't be the last. If he does, I have the 15 million units of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 and the dark storyline of Team Plasma as a rebuttal.

    1. Like I said before, he'd probably gush over the PS4 as well, given his Sony fanboyism. And he'd treat the Wii U like crap for bullshit reasons ("Nintendo is kiddy!").

Wonder if he'd look at what games the 3DS and PS Vita are offering at E3, too. And games on PC, Mac, iPad, and iPhone as well. (Possibly even Onlive, but that's kind of a rarity still...)

BTW, will Sony allow Vita users to sync it up with the PS4 when it comes out? If they could do that with the PS3, they should do the same to the new system as well. Otherwise, they too, might piss off a lot of fans.

And let's hope Microsoft listens to the people hating on their system due to the MAJOR boo-boo they caused in the presentation... though I unfortunately doubt it.

I still think Nintendo's Wii U is going to win the 8th-gen console wars at this point...

1.) Praise the crap out of both the PS4 and Xbox One due to him being a Sony fanboy and liking something that a majority of gamers do not

2.) Treat the Wii U like crap for being "kiddy", and treat it negatively despite the majority of gamers liking it (so far)

3.) Ask extremely vague questions while giving interviews

4.) Go ga-ga over the celebrities being used to promote the games, no matter if they're good or bad

5.) Say "Vewy coo!" every time an "epic" trailer is being shown

6.) Make an unfunny "blooper" reel at the end

    Here's hoping they don't bring him to E3 2014!

  26. So... Sony basically stole the show. None of that DRM crap, no having to connect to the Internet to play single-player, no convoluted pay schemes to lend games to your friends, the ability to re-sell your games, Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts III... and they made subtle jabs toward the Big M all throughout. It was satisfying.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Day 1 of E3 is done, and Sony didn't just beat Microsoft, they filleted them and served them to rabid wolves.

No used games DRM, no constant online checks, no camera, and it's $399, compared to Xbox One which is $499 and has the always-on Kinect.

I imagine this pleases Bores greatly.
I know I gave Bores shit for being a Sony fanboy before, but that was when the PS3 and 360 were on fairly equal ground. This is a new situation where Microsoft deserves all the scorn they're getting.

I remember Bores saying he prefers PS3 because he doesn't have to pay for online. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore as Sony revealed a PS Plus subscription is required to play multiplayer (but not services like Netflix, Hulu and others). Yeah this sucks, but I hear Plus is an amazing service and can be transferred from PS3 to PS4. I'll look into it.

Hold on, Bores prefers PS3 because online is free... yet in most of his reviews he never talks about multiplayer. This is confusing.

    1. Yes, Sony knew Microsoft slipped up, and they've been making swipes at the Xbox One for a while, but I can say know they've officially handed Microsoft's ass to them on a silver platter. Kevin Butler would be proud. I can wait for a PS4, though. I'll be satisfied with a marked-down PS3, some games, and some Blu-Ray movies. Also, most of the output I was looking forward to from Nintendo was amazing, including stuff I wasn't even thinking about. I was also ecstatic the moment I saw that Star Wars Battlefront was coming back. I know I've been playing out the battle of Hoth since Shadows of the Empire on N64, but that teaser made feel like a Rebel soldier in the heat of Echo Base being stormed by Imperial Walkers.

  28. I'm not going to buy the PS4, unfortunately, at least for now. The idea of not being backwards-compatible doesn't really sit well with me (if Sony allowed that in the PS2 and [most] PS3 models, why not the PS4?), and I have NEVER owned a PS3. I just hope you don't have to pay TOO much money to download an old game, which you certainly don't pay too much to download old NES and SNES games on the Wii U. Plus, its fanbase has gone ape-shit already. I mean, I understand Sony did a better job at a presentation compared to what Microsoft did with the Xbox One, (Always online? $500? Geez, you're pushing it...) but I advise people to not get their hopes up too dangerously high.

Sorry folks, but I'm just still going to stick with the Wii U. Maybe in the future, I'll consider getting a PS4, though.

    1. You don't have to apologize for sticking with the Wii U. I bought one last month only for Nintendo's exclusive games.

I know my Wii U will be eventually collecting dust like its predecesor, which I bought only for Metroid, Zelda and Tatsunoko VS Capcom, but Nintendo exclusives are always worth it even if their systems are inferior.

That said, I'll have to say good bye to my 360 and go back to Sony.

    2. No prob! But I can add one more thing to make me pissed off at Microsoft and Sony:

I HEARD THEY BOTH COME OUT ON NEW YEAR'S EVE.

Seriously, why wait until AFTER Christmas within the year? Unless they're fixing problems and taking their time decently...

      Delete
    3. I just found out. Thanks. :-)

Maybe the Xbox One won't turn out to be that rotten of a system in spite of all the controversy it's rightfully gotten, and turn out well after all. I'm very certain that the PS4 will do well on Sony's part, especially with how well-received their conference went, but I still won't get my hopes up too high like most people are.

ObBores: Hoo boy, can't wait for the thrashings in the weeks and months to come. I wonder if someone at GotGame will realize (though I doubt it) that Chris Bores isn't deserving of going to E3 every year just because he's their cash cow?

    1. To be honest, it wasn't bad at all. I do agree that Sony had a great end to their press conference yesterday, giving people many good reasons to purchase a Playstation 4 over a Xbox One.
However, Bores is bound to make a mistake in an E3 video eventually; just give him time.

      Delete
    2. You thought he comported himself well in that video? He stammered, looked nervous, said nothing valuable, and referred to some kind of note sheet. He seemed badly out of his element. Watch the guy on the left (Nick) mocking him during the worst moments.

      Delete
    3. While you do bring up good points, I think that the video, overall, was not terribly bad. After all, we know Bores can do worse during E3.

      Delete
    4. It's a good thing Bores is not the focus of the video. Has he always been such a black hole of charisma when it comes to sharing the screen?

      Delete
    5. When he's producing the video himself, as writer and editor, he has a slight edge. But when it's GotGame's video, and he gets one chance to talk when they're ready to give him the mike, the rough edges all come out. I wonder if all the coverage is going to be like this, or if Chris is doing his own reportage in addition.

      Delete
    6. I don't know why, but Bores has been kind of moving and speaking like he's drunk in some of the videos he's done this year (like the shout-out, the Die Hard NES review, and a couple of his endless Skylanders videos). Bores may be a good editor, but his writing and acting has always been some of my biggest problems with him. Couple that with his canyon-sized holes in research, dragging out time to get videos out, stealing footage from other sources, and his general ineptitude in gaming; and I have at least 5 reasons that have eclipsed his ripping off you-know-who.

      Delete
    7. I don't actually suspect he's drunk at E3. That effect comes across when you pretend to be an expert in something, and are then thrust into that world and asked to say something of substance about brand-new developments. You can either admit "I'm actually a fraud with little reason to be here" or be as awkward as a drunk guy. It could be argued that Steve and Nick covered all the major talking points before they gave Chris a turn, but even then Chris would have more to say if he were the hardcore gamer that he fronts being.

  30. Here are my current thoughts on the E3 press conferences.

    * Microsoft:
Really pushed a lot of games for not only the Xbox One, but also for the 360 (which now has a new design model available). However, I am surprised (as was Spike TV) that Microsoft did not mention the controversy around the system. I wonder how Microsoft's next generation console will fair when it releases this holiday season.
    * EA:
Pretty generic conference in my opinion. I was really excited to see the 20-second teaser for the new Star Wars Battlefront. I also thought that the extensive multiplayer gameplay for Battlefield 4 was cool.
    * Ubisoft:
I think they unveiled so many great games, like Watch Dogs (which Sony also showed off), The Crew, Tom Clancy's The Division, and Destiny.
    * Sony:
In my opinion, Sony definitely had the best press conference. They really pushed for both games and social media programs (like TV shows, movies, and music). Their plan to connect the PS3, PS4, and PS Vita using PS Plus is a good idea, the $399 price tag is not too demanding, and the idea to allow used games to function on the Playstation 4 is great.
    * Nintendo:
I feel a press conference would have been better, but the Nintendo Direct was still good (except for the lag on both Nintendo's website and Facebook page. Thankfully, the full direct video, along with the individual game trailers, was uploaded to Nintendo's YouTube page shortly afterward). Super Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8 looked great (although the former was not really what I was expecting for the next 3D Mario adventure, especially after experiencing Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 for Wii). And, of course, who could forget about Wind Waker HD and the next Super Smash Bros. game, the latter which is going to be released for both Wii U and 3DS.

    1. Agree with you.

I can say that Sony had not owned this hard since they killed the Saturn during the announcement of the PSOne.

I liked a lot of what Nintendo did in their direct, by the way.

      Delete
    2. I think that Sony had a good presence as well. They even used some of the same tactics they did in those days. I'll probably get a PS4 a bit later after it launches, but it would be good to play Metal Gear Solid V and Star Wars Battlefront, not to mention Kingdom Hearts III. Nintendo made me want the games I was anticipating from them even more. Zelda Wind Waker HD will be perfect for revisiting one of my favorite Zelda games for its 10th anniversary. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze looked pretty good, and I'm really looking forward to Mega Man joining my rotation in Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS (I had a feeling he was coming, since they had already broken the rules by letting Sonic and Snake play). One last thing before I go: with the Fairy-type confirmed for Pokémon X and Y, I have another reason to finish the League in Black 2 and White 2, then trade in my aging DS Lite towards a 3DS. See you around.

      Delete
    3. I don't want to be that guy, but I really feel that people are giving Sony too much credit. I mean, they really would have had to go out of their way to be less appealing that the Xboned.

I still feel sickened knowing that Batdamn aka Joe Hladnik actually thought that was good wiki edit.

My only guess as to why I am allowed to continue editing the wiki is probably because I am the only one still editing it and writing intelligible summaries that actually look like summaries.

Ldybuggin777 has since her beginning of defending Chris Bores, been claiming to be his mother (Linda) and essentially bases her arguments off of "lay off my son" and "you're just mad because you like AVGN". A recent undercover operation by Lasersquad on the in-appropriately named batdansucks blog has revealed that Irate Gamer and Ladybuggin777 have the same IP address, meaning that Chris Bores is in fact Ladybuggin777.

Speaking of this, I wonder what if he reviewed Pokemon?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Those posters don't mean anything. They are there for the sole purpose of making it seem like Chris is a gamer, which he isn't. Not too mention, he criticized Kirby's Epic Yarn for not being able to die and/or get a game over. That's funny because Chris displays a Wario Land II poster on his wall and, according to the Super Mario Wiki, a player cannot run out of lives in that game, meaning it's impossible to get a game over.
I don't think Chris will ever review a Pokémon game because it takes many hours and some effort to get far in any Pokémon game, even the spinoff titles. We've all seen that Chris cannot stand to play a modern game for more than an hour or two (Injustice: Gods Among Us and, possibly, Kirby's Epic Yarn were exceptions). However, if he ever did review a Pokémon game, it's anyone's guess whether he would like or hate it.

      Delete
    2. Also, unless I'm wrong, Chris did mention Pokémon when he was using the different types (e.g. Normal, Fire, Electric, etc.) as a comparison to the different elemental classes in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure.
It's true he has never reviewed a Pokémon game, but he has mentioned the franchise on rare occasions.

      Delete
    3. Wario Land 3 was also impossible to get a Game Over on until the final boss. And just like with Epic Yarn, you lose some of the Coins you've collected if you get hit in Wario Land 2 (with the knockback also allowing the game to send you back quite a lot depending on the level).
