Week of April 6th: Credits and Hobbes

*reawakens* My head.
That Kid Icarus review did a number on me.
Let’s see what we got on the docket this week

Monday video is another book review.
This one about the newest Calvin & Hobbes book. “Exploring Calvin & Hobbes: An Exhibition Catalogue”
The description has Bores claim this is the newest book in almost 20 years. Nooo… there’s been at least three other books since It’s a Magical World. Though two are essentially the same thing. There was “Sunday Pages 1985-1995”, and The Complete Calvin & Hobbes in both hardcover and paperback (released 7 years apart).

It’s… not the worst. It’s boring… just going over what’s in the book… nothing too offensive.
He’s pretty vague about everything… as he usually is… zzzzzzzzzz
Wuh? Jeez, so boring. Next video.

Wednesday’s video is a… website review. Seriously?
It’s a review of LeapTrade.com. Looking into it, it looks similar to the now defunct Goozex. You trade in your games for other games or LeapTrade credits. Personally I like to keep my games.
The description states that Bores was asked to review this. I imagine by “asked” he means “paid”. Chris, you legally have to state when something is a paid review. Like all your Skylanders videos.

He compares the site to Amazon. … No. Amazon is completely different. You can use your actual money on Amazon, not buy credits or be forced to trade in to get credits.
He got Assassin’s Creed Rogue for PS3, another Assassin’s Creed game he couldn’t find for this video (sounds like you have a major organization problem). How much you want to bet he won’t even play these? The only time he’s bothered to bring up AssCreed was during E3, and the only thing he cared for was the “history”. Never the gameplay, the story, or anything people actually care for.
He also got The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures (Gamecube) as he claims he “traded that in a long time ago”. Suuuuure you did.
He mentions how he tried to order certain games, but they were “out of stock” so his order was cancelled. Well, the way the site works is that the supply comes from consumers.
“That always happens on Amazon” No it doesn’t! Even if it’s vendors re-selling stuff, Amazon almost always has stock.
He wants the site to have an auction system like eBay.
He says it’s a good alternative if you can’t find a game anywhere else. … Not really. You’d still do better with Amazon and eBay, or flea markets.

Friday’s video… is a reupload of the Mario Party 10 review he posted on GotGame two weeks ago. Nothing different. http://irategamersucks.blogspot.com/2015/03/you-gotta-fight-for-your-right-to-mario.html
He did pull a bit of a scummy move though. He deleted the original unlisted video likely due to the greater number of dislikes (and the fact that almost nobody watched it). GotGame, why do you even keep him around?
EDIT: Oh wow, there are comments that believe the reason Chris recorded his screen and not used a capture device was to avoid copyright. These are people that were probably misinformed on what really happened with Angry Joe. Believing that Nintendo took his video down, when in reality YouTube hit the video with a Content ID claim so that Nintendo makes any ad revenue from it, and Joe took it down out of spite because he's being a big baby for publicity. Crying about it even though it already happened to him months ago.

At least that made things easy. See you next time. Go watch Daredevil on Netflix, it’s pretty damn good.

  1. Can do, Dan. Plan on binge -watching over the weekend, restarted Netflix for that.

  2. Hey, at least he didn't make one of his trademark glaring research errors in the Calvin and Hobbes video. That would have been more painful than usual to watch.

  3. I still don't get why Chris is still bothering with this whole 3 videos a week, why doesn't he just stick to 1 with a lot of effort? Whether it's an Irate Gamer or Irate the 80's or even History of VideoGames, I'm sure his fans would rather that.

I'm glad the Calvin and Hobbes video was boring because if he bashed it that would have been a real shame. Why did he even do a website review as a video why a blog would have been better than a less than 3 min video. Speaking of LeapTrade in practice I don't t think the idea is bad because it stops people from having insane amounts of money for a game, like say Earthbound for $2400 or Chrono Trigger for $1800. However yeah I would rather keep my games and just hope for reasonable sellers on eBay. And re-uploading a video to ignore negative reception just wow.

    1. Because more videos means more ads. One good video doesn't make as much ad revenue as 3 shitty ones.

  5. I still feel bad that people are constantly ripping on Joe because they either won't bother to or don't want to learn about how messed up the copyright system is when it comes to Nintendo properties.

    1. A lot of people are siding with him actually. You can see a lot of people agreeing with the BS copyright policy in all the news about his rant and in the comment section for those news articles. Even people who agree that Nintendo is "legally" right don't agree that they are "ethically" wrong. Personally, though, I think people are going way too fucking nuts with this shit. I don't think that Joe meant for his rant to go THIS far.

      Delete
    2. The saddest responses to Joe's video I remember seeing were people saying they were glad they traded in all of their Nintendo games and systems over this whole Youtube thing. I still don't get why so many people are taking offense to this because really how people complaining make a living by making Nintendo related videos on Youtube. I don't so I don't feel to strongly about it other than I think it should have been between 20% and 30% not 40%, but I'm sure people wouldn't be happy unless it was 1% or 0%. I also wonder how pissed off these people would be if they watch something like Dragon's Den or Shark Tank where the investors sometimes ask for 50% of someones company.

      Delete
    3. That's really fucking stupid. Trading in the only console with worthwhile games out right now just because someone on YouTube got fucked over. The only game coming out this year that I actually want and that isn't on Nintendo is Mortal Kombat X, and that's also on PS3 (still sad I have to wait till June though, but it's better than getting a mess of a game). Hell, I'll still get the Wii U even though I'm a fan of Angry Joe. It's not like I'm going to post videos of my playthroughs or anything. This has gone way too far.

      Delete
    4. How fucking petty are Angry Joe's fans?

      Delete
    5. Petty enough to dislike anything he puts out that isn't a review, which they don't understand takes a lot of time and work to make. They truly think that Joe is Superman and not just that he wears a Superman shirt.

      Delete
    6. Well to be fair I don't know if the people I was referring to were fans of Joe or Nintendo haters or both

      Delete
    7. Well, I'm going to stay neutral to the whole thing about Nintendo. I still like Angry Joe's reviews though.

      Delete
    8. Yeah, it probably best to stay neutral. Joe still makes great reviews and Nintendo still makes great games.

      Delete
    9. Sorry, but I beg to differ. I love me some Nintendo, but they've been making some pretty shitty decisions for a long time now. It's like they still haven't gotten the idea that they need third-party software in order to be on top, and even when you have that, you have to ADVERTISE THAT SHIT.

Now, I'm hesitant to even buy a Wii U now that the new system has been announced, especially if it's going the way of the N64 and the GC once the release happens.

Bottom line, Nintendo needs to get its act together.

      Delete
    10. Well to be fair some third party support was dropped buy developers after poor sales of some third party games, than again that could most likely be caused by bad advertisement. I would say it's still be a good idea to buy a Wii because there are some great games for it, don't let a new system being announced stop you, hell I never bought a PS2 till 2005 when the PS3 was right around the corner and I still enjoy my PS2. And yes I agree with you Nintendo does need to make some better decisions with some things, but to repeat myself from the last post this whole Youtube thing shouldn't be top priority, at the end of the day it's a minor issue.

  6. So, LadyBuggin told me in a comment war against Asalieri and his decaying mental state that Bores has finally credited Geoff Hassing for his artwork and put his comment back up. I checked to make sure if she was telling the truth. Hassing's comment is back up on the video of Bores trying to sell his artwork. I'm also positive it's him, since his channel has videos there that are as old as 7 years and are of things he's done for multiple projects. However, it says there are 3 replies to Hassing's original comment, and there should be 3. One should be Chris's, one should be Hassing saying directly to Chris "Thanks Chris. I appreciate it. :)", and another one should be mine asking Hassing if Chris really credited him, because the description for the video does not mention Hassings nor is there a comment by Bores on the video talking about Hassings. My comment should definitely be invisible to anyone outside the thread, as Chris knows who I am on YouTube as Buggin; but why is Chris's? What is Hassings thanking him for? Why all the dishonesty? Something is up.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I really don't see anything dishonest here. I'm looking at the comment, and it says there's only 2 replies, one from Chris and the other from the other guy, so it's true no one outside of the thread will see your comment.

As for the comment itself, all it says is this:

"You got it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and info. Your artwork is amazing! I love how you rendered me and my characters!"

Which is what the other guy is saying thanks for.

As for why his comment is invisible to you, I can only guess that he's blocked you or something along those lines. There's something you can do that keeps others from seeing your comments and replies. Not sure how it works, but you can try and see if you can see his other replies or comments. If not, then that's probably why his comment is invisible to you.

    2. Oh, okay then. But he's still not making that clear to people or in the description of the video.

  8. Bores liking Calvin & Hobbes makes being a C&H fan less appealing. Can't he be a fan of something lame like Cathy or Doonesbury?

  12. It's sad how far Assassin's Creed has fallen. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was one of the best games I've played and I was hoping the sequel Unity would be good. Instead, it suffers with an uninteresting story, unnecessary in-game purchases and terrible TERRIBLE glitches and frame rate issues.

I also completely disacknowledge Rogue's existence. Why? Because the story is unimportant and can be skipped and the main character Shay Cormac is an unlikeable asshole.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. well in Rogue's defense I heard it is a good but I can still see why it's kinda unimportant, though that doesn't make it a bad game. As for Unity the simple reason why it's a let down is because of annual releases, I mean I think it's pretty impressive companies can release such huge games in short time but of course it makes the games suffer when you can't iron out issues. However the biggest problem with annual releases it stops several people from playing good over because after playing it for awhile they'll just wait for the squeal in a few months. One reason I love Blizzard is because they take so long to release squeals it lets people enjoy the original a lot more than some other great games today. As for in game purchases it might be the single worst thing about games I hate today, that people don't to enjoy a game just pay their way to the finish and move on with their lives. Though the worst are Facebook games and Smartphones where you pay for more continues, as I said to my sister about this "what if you died 5 times in a Mario game and than you couldn't play again till tomorrow?". Seriously imagine if games did do that back in the 80's.

  13. Buggin said this on Asalieri's RAR of IG's Kid Icarus review:

"Hi Asa, The comments between Christopher and Geoff are NOT deleted. They are on the new video of the art work from the game. The conversation between IG and Geoff are very nice and there is no drama going on there as Hunter would leave anyone to believe. It's another figment of the IG Sucks blog imagination (like always! ha ) Also, I'd like to give my comments on your RAR that I jsut watched. I too am so over angry reviews of video games. I'm sick to death of all the cursing and angry style of content. Unfortunetly, that is what Christopher's fans continuiously email him for so he is just giving them what they want. Judging by the comments in the videos, they love his return in old school style (which surprised the heck out of me!) Those types of reviews will only be coming out on Fridays with Mondays & Wendsdays being a hodge podge of other topics and fan requests. In all honesty Christopher has put his own preferences and projects aside to cater to his fanbase, young or old, that is what they are asking for. I enjoyed your opinions eexpressed in your video and I consider you a fair and unbiased friend. I'm sure Christopher pretty much feels the same about you. Thanks for giving me the chance to ring in on the thread. Take care and God bless :D"

So, Bores knows his IG episodes are shit and only makes them to pander to his fans?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You know Chris pandering to your fans is not a good thing, you pretty much just said "I hate doing Irate Gamer but you guys won't shut so fine here you go" Yeah Chris that's not a good thing, one thing you should never do is pandering. For example Dragonball Z was suppose to end with the Frezzia saga but the fans didn't want it to so we got the horrible Cell saga. You should do what you want not what others want, let's look at Phelous if he pandered to his fans we would have nothing but horror movie reviews ever week and we wouldn't have the enjoyable Bootlegs Zone. So again Chris do you want to do, would you rather do Irate the 80's? if so do that instead, really your fans should be enjoying you.

    4. Wow that's a shock. I really believe Toriyama was just pandering, because really the Cell saga starts off so bad it seems like he just threw something together in an afternoon, than the rest feels likes one of those stories where the writer just makes things up as they go along. I mean I know Shoen manga aren't the most complex stories ever but you could at least not make the main character and previous villain look down right pathetic before the main story even starts.

    2. Does anyone think that the dead friend story is bullshit? He seemed pretty heartless and apathetic when talking about him. Didn't even say who he was or why he died, just said that it was weird that he reviewed the game when he died. And hearing him say "wherever you are" to his dead friend tells me he still hasn't learned shit from the JewWario incident.

      Delete
    3. Yeah, Bores has no respect and he should be ashamed. Now let's all show how respectful we are by doubting his father's serious illness, doubting his story about his dead friend, and dismissing his feelings as heartless and apathetic when he brings them up.

      Delete
    4. You're right, it is extreme to be saying that. However, after the "Opening Up" video, in which Bores made many extreme accusations about James Rolfe without backing any of them up, I find it especially hard to believe anything that he says about real life. While I can't prove that he is lying about his dad being on the brink of death or about his dead friend, he was still being very vague about everything; he never even mentioned the medical conditions each person had or even his friend's name. Add that with the fact that he still hasn't apologized for what he said about JewWario or what he did about Leonard Nimoy's death, I can't help but have at least some skepticism whenever Bores even mentions death.

      Delete
    5. If I do find out that the stories about his friend and his dad were real, then I would feel bad for doubting them and I would be glad that his dad is still alive.

  16. I've never played Kid Icarus before. To me, back in the day it would have just been either a random rental or some random game a friend I was visiting would have and check out for about 5 minutes or so. The game looks a lot easier than he's making it out to be, but I can't say that for sure since I've never played it.

  17. So did anyone see the DLC for Mortal Kombat X, it's bullshit. Now first off I'm not one of those people that has an issue with extra content to a game, I mean really you're getting more what's the problem. In those cases it's the price. No I'm referring to easy fatalities and unlocking everything in the Kpryt...Ok I need a moment(goes off to scram profanity)....WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK IS WRONG WITH GAMES TODAY!!!?? For the love of god I hate micro transaction why don't they die and go to hell! "oh you can't remember a few buttons pay us 5$ and you only need remember a couple buttons for fatalities" "What you hate playing games for more than a few hours give us 20$ and you unlock everything"....I just don't even anymore, overpriced extra content is one thing but this is an insult to gaming. Also how much do you want to bet if Chris does a IG Neo of Mortal Kombat X he'll love the easy fatalities, I hope he doesn't because I like to think he has some dignity left.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Th saddest thing I've seen is people actually supporting the easy fatilies, one person say "it adds more options" no it doesn't it takes take away, or saying "don't like it don't buy it" that doesn't make it better, just existing is an insult. Were the fatalities that hard to be begin with? I never did figure how to do them in pre Mortal Kombat 9 but they seem simple enough in the moves list, yeah just include them in the move lists that's not very hard is it,IS IT?! Oh god if they are still in the move list it'll make this insulting and pointless.

    2. Well, this will definitely prevent me from buying a PS4 just so I can play on next gen. Oh well, at least it will be released on PS3 in June. If NRS has the nerve to perform microtransactions, then I have officially lost all faith in the video game industry. Do people really not want Nintendo as much as PS4 and Xbone that they'l ignore the fact that Nintendo never does this bullshit?

      Delete
    3. It's garbage like this that makes me realize we are indeed in the dark age of gaming. People don't want to put in effort to get a satisfying conclusion. They just want it to be "Press A to win" every single time. It makes me sick!

Speaking of, am I the only one who thinks that Nintendo does DLC correctly?
      -_-

      Delete
    4. No, as the last sentence of my previous comment stated that I agreed with Nintendo's DLC (though, I couldn't really form sentences right at that point in time). The dark age truly started when PS4 and Xbox One were released. Hopefully, this should give Nintendo the opportunity to rise back up again, as they make the only worthwhile games nowadays.

      Delete
    5. What makes this even sadder is that Ed Boon deconfirmed microtransactions in the game when Angry Joe interviewed him several weeks ago. I really hope that WB made NRS put the microtransactions, because that would mean that Ed Boon did not lie to all the Mortal Kombat fans about them.

      Delete
    6. Hunter, to be fair, there are good games on the Xbone and PS4. I can name a few off the top of my head: Wolfenstein: The New Order, Metro Redux, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and later this year, Halo 5 and Killing Floor 2

      Delete
    7. Well I think what Hunter means while there good games on PS4 and XBone(I assume anyway don't have either) there's far too much bullshit from these systems while people just kinda ignore Nintendo for no good reason. I not saying Nintendo is perfect but really what have they done that deserve to be shit, I mean how many people have said Nintendo is doomed for the last few years, even though 1. they suffered before and 2. there not in danger of losing everything so I don't think their going any where any time soon.

      Delete
    8. Well that makes sense, and I do agree

  18. As both a gamer and aspiring developer, I guess my main concern with DLC is when it's "pay to win", or other ways the game is devalued for the purpose of making way for DLC.

Micro-transactions have been a part of gaming since the beginning. One of my old arcade game manuals said that according to research, 2.5 minutes was the ideal time for players to spend on a single credit without feeling ripped off. Yeah, went through entire allowances one quarter at a time back then.

So long as DLC is done right, I don't have a problem with it.

    1. For example, the Borderlands games. Their DLC is always REALLY damn good.

      Delete
    2. I never did understand why some people just flat out hate DLC, really the biggest problem with most DLC is that their overpriced. And yes micro-transaction was how people made money with arcade games but there's no reason why it should be done at home. In the case of Mortal Kombat X you have someone pay 60$ for it and then you have the option for that person to unlock everything for another 20$, it's just really awful, and in the case of the easy fatalities it's again really bad because their trying to make off the idea of some games taking mercy on the player.

How long have games had some way of showing mercy on the player anyway? The earliest one I can think of is Ninja Gaiden Black with it's hidden easy setting.

  19. DLC as a concept isn't a bad thing.
Some companies do it well. Gearbox with Borderlands, Nintendo has done a great job with Fire Emblem Awakening, Mario Kart 8, and Hyrule Warriors, Bethesda's expansions for Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Skyrim, all great examples of DLC done right.

However, a lot of companies have exploited it. I praised Bethesda before, but they were the ones that gave us Oblivion's Horse Armor. Many companies lock content on the disc, and instead sell us "keys" to get it. Capcom being one of the worst offenders.
One of the ugliest practices is when companies purposely cut out content just to sell back later. Activision did this with Destiny and the game was considered a major disappointment by consumers (but not by the shareholders, it made bank). I fear Konami will do the same with MGSV: The Phantom Pain now that Kojima is out of the picture.

There's also the scary F2P model. While some games like Team Fortress 2 and League of Legends have proven the method works, most companies prefer the exploitative method of "wait now or buy to win". Seen in Dungeon Keeper Mobile, Clash of Clans, or The Simpsons Tapped Out. South Park touched upon this in the episode "Freemium Isn't Free"

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, I think we're pretty much 100% in agreement here.

I recently played a F2P on Steam that I feel had good DLC called "War Thunder", though honestly I'm just getting into it so maybe there's just something I haven't realized yet.

As for mobile F2P, I think "Crossy Road" got it right. The game's not perfect, but at least you can enjoy all it has to offer for free, and the developers aren't exactly hurting either.

      Delete
    2. Honestly, the only bad thing I have to say about Gearbox's Borderlands DLC was their weird seasonal "Headhunter Packs." They consisted of 2-3 missions tops in one new location each with nothing more than holiday jokes, a new head for your character and enemies scaled to your level. They were...kinda lame.

      Delete
    3. You basically summed it up perfectly, BatDan. I think people are mostly disappointed with MKX because NRS is usually great with DLC, but now, they've put in microtransactions for things that don't need them. The Krypt one is okay, but the easy fatalities shouldn't cost anything in my opinion, especially when they're unlockable through the Krypt. It could have been MUCH worse though.

      Delete
    4. BlazBlue Continuum Shift let you buy Unlimited characters and the unlockable Mu-12...which you could unlock by beating Score Attack Mode and Story Mode anyway, so the only point was for people who can't beat either mode.

      Delete
    5. Usually DLC should be content that is thought by the developers AFTER the game's release.

For example, Mortal Kombat was released with 27 characters (28 for the PS3 version). Then, the developers thought of including Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain and Freddy Krueger, characters that weren't included in the game before because they were unimportant to the game's story but now, the developers thought of a way to include them. So now, they are released through DLC.

Capcom did DLC poorly because their DLC are content that SHOULD have been included in the game in the first place, like the true ending of Asura's Wraith.

      Delete
    6. I love Asura's Wrath but there was no reason the ending had to be DLC. Broken Steel for Fallout 3 was another DLC I think shouldn't had been DLC, well at least being able to keep playing after the main story should have been in the main game.

      Delete
    7. I can only hope that Nintendo's (and HAL'S) handling of post-release material for Smash Bros is adequate. That is, they don't intentionally hold stuff back that they could have developed onto the retail product. Rather, they gather player feedback and develop material (i.e. characters) that players ask for. Like the player survey they've got going.

      Delete
    8. The reason Capcom made the "true ending" for Asura's Wrath DLC was because they have a policy where if a game doesn't meet its sales expectations, they completely discontinue it. They probably planned the "true ending" as content for a sequel, but they were also sure that they could condense it into DLC if they wanted to. Seriously, fuck Capcom. I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't bought their greedy asses out yet. SF5 probably won't even be that different from SF4.

    9. I find the idea of Capcom discontinuing something that doesn't sell well in hindsight because of DMC. From I heard DMC only made half of Capcom wanted yet they went to the trouble of porting it to the XBone and PS4, now I liked DMC and if I had an XBone or PS4 I would probably get the game(I got it originally through PlayStation Plus)but it still seems pointless when it didn't make the money they wanted it to in the first place. As for the true ending in Asura's Wrath I think the most likely reason why that was DLC was the same reason for Sequence 12 and 13 in Assassin's Creed 2 it wouldn't be done by it's expected release and instead of doing the unthinkable and delaying the game till it's finished they decided to just shipped unfinished and make some money later on.

  20. Who wants to bet that Bores will make a MKX video some time soon?

Furthermore, who wants to bet that said video will be replete with lazy MK gags and a possible Master System Goro appearance? Anyway, here's the list again. I'm starting the project next Friday, so you'll have until then to add any names that you feel belong on here. Peace.

    1. I have a feeling Bores will say that the new Brutalities suck and prefers the old "press 10 buttons and watch someone explode to over 9000 skulls, limbs, and rib cages" Brutalities from "MK Trilogy".

Also, add Gaming Goose to your list.

    2. He'll probably also hate that not all the old characters are back, even though its better to replace some of the old ones with new ones for the game to be truly different from MK9.

  21. Wednesday video's up. TWENTY-SEVEN FUCKING MINUTES of him talking about the Amiibo supply-and-demand issue.

    1. I'm not even going to watch. That's WAY too long to be talking about something I have absolutely no interest in. Too bad.

    2. While I do think this a big issue I can't see how Chris can go 27mins. Really I can't see anyone spending more than 5-10mins about this, because really even though is a big issue there really isn't much other than, make more Amibos and people are assholes for selling something that was 13$ for 100$.

    3. Shit. I hoped it was a one-off but he's making it a bloody thing.

      And I love my Amiibos.

    4. Are you really surprised?
Bores cares more for toys than video games.

    5. I actually am ... and that shames me.

    6. He spends more time buying Amiibos than buying new video games.

    7. At least, we hope its him buying the Amiibos.

    8. At 26:26 he announces his new amiibo website!

    9. Well... he asks the tough questions, like "What Assorted Wooly World Yoshi Beanbag Amiibo’s Look Like?"

  22. I have better things to do with my time than watch him ramble for 27 minutes to basically say "Nintendo needs to make more supply".

I'll mention the video in the next post and his new site (thank you Uatu for letting me know).

    1. Someone in the comment section thought that all the dislikes were from the scalpers. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WRONG!!!

      Delete
    2. That's likely a common YouTube "joke"
Example. When you see a video of a power metal song with a ton of likes and a handful of dislikes, one comment will pipe up "The 30 dislikes are Justin Bieber fans!" It's very rarely funny.

If it's not the joke... then people are crazier than I thought.

      Delete
    3. I am aware of the joke and have used it before, but they were talking about the issue of the Amiibo in the same comment and didn't even use a number and say something like "25 people are scalpers." This leads me to believe they were being serious, unfortunately.

    4. Here is the comment for you to see what I'm talking about.

"Most level-headed video out there regarding amiibo. It's sad to see the dislikes on this video courtesy of scalpers. JUST BE PATIENT. Everyone feels the need to have amiibo right away. It's not like in-game function is game-changing, you can definitely sit on them. Much respect for this video and I enjoyed it a lot!"

Also, I love how people think the G&W Amiibo is legit. Why would Bores even have it there? It just makes him look even less credible. Then again, his logic never makes sense.

      Delete
    5. Oooh... that seems to file under 'people that don't understand why IG is hated".

Yeah, G&W amiibo was weird... what was even the point?
I remember he wrote a post about that on his site. I can't believe he actually bought one. The link he provided was an eBay auction that ended at $20.50. Not much... though for whatever reason Bores says it will "cost a pretty penny", which means it's expensive. Sorry, but considering the scalper prices, that's nothing.

      Delete
    6. It's also probably the most level-headed video about the Amiibo crisis because Bores never gave a shit about them in the first place.

    1. Maybe Activision actually did cut him off for breaking embargo multiple times?

At any rate, I think he's changing focus to Amiibo. Hence why he started a website about them.

      Delete
    2. Perhaps he gets points for sheer pluck, having the energy to reinvent himself at every turn, but it leaves longtime watchers wondering who Chris Bores actually is.

James Rolfe loves horror, filmmaking, Ninja Turtles, board and video games, and he'll go to his grave a lover of those things (and some other things). He would never play "Yeah, I like it too" just to get views.

If Bores had a movie studio, it feels like he'd make straight-to-video 'mockbusters' that are suspiciously similar to the big hits of two years previous.

  25. New video is up. It's another fucking skit like the Lakitu one he did about a year ago, except now he's calling these pieces of lazy shit "NES Sprite Fun". It's a(n unfunny) Castlevania-themed short (and I mean SHORT, it's not even a minute long) where he and Ronny are spying on a bat in some random house, and then Simon Belmont wakes it up and the bat starts chasing them all. That's it. Well, at least his fans will pissed off by not having a full video for Friday.

    1. A skit that's it,I though Chris said Friday was when there would be a "big" video. Is he really burnt out already. He could have at least uploaded this skit on Wednesday and the Amibo video today that way it would kinda sorta fit into his recent video output. You swear he woke up today and was like "Aw shit I forgot a video today time for something random".
