Former Fan Testimony from The Childish Psychopath

Been a while since one of these. A former IG fan going by the nickname "The Childish Psychopath" wanted to share his experience with the Irate Gamer. This is a direct copy of his testimony. Enjoy.

I started watching the Irate gamer back in 2008, I use to be a fan of him, as well as the angry video game nerd.  I was also 10 years old so I didn't really know much during that time.  My first video of him was with his review of predator.  At 10 years old, I am not ashamed to say that his jokes were funny.  (Especially that fucking newspaper joke on Tekken.....)

Me and my older brother would watch his videos non-stop and I it was a blast.  I currently wasn't aware of the research errors and stolen footage at that time, even the most obvious when he was reviewing Ghost n Goblins when he went from nes graphics to Arcade.  As for the tmnt 2 game, I shamefully believed him that they could have made better graphics for the new adaptation. (I was a fucking idiot). I don't remember much but also remember him going on and on about his skylander fetish nonstop.  I would constantly check back to see if he made any new content on the IG show.  But guess what, MORE FUCKING SKYLANDERS!!!!  That was when I moved on to watch other things like anime and such.

As I grew older, I had vague memories of this shitty gem,  I haven't heard from him until I looked up Guru Larry's fact hunt on the rise and fall of of YouTube gamers.  The moment He talked about Chris, I was all like "Oh hey it's this guy!" Then after an explanation of how he failed and the shit he failed to do.  I then began to look at his channel to see what was left of him.  Then I began to think back on his reviews on how pathetic they were.  I remember playing Battalion wars 2, It was fun and no Chris, the COs didn't constantly remind and HOW HARD IS IT TO CAPTURE 1 FUCKING BASE!!! Then to Aladdin and I remember having on the snes.  It was fun, then Chris talked shit about it.  Finally GnG which Was the final nail in the coffin.

Even though I was not aware of the controversy of the AVGN and IG, It is safe to say he is a fucking hack.  Which brings me to the blog, I enjoy reading all the reviews you tore to shreds as well as the shit he says.  Now he is a fragment of a forgotten memory.  But anyways this is my confession, thank you for reading.

  1. For those wondering why my videos are not viewable, it's because I privatized them. Not only do I think I ought to withdraw them from service due to Boring Man's dormancy and a general lack of interest in continuing, I don't really hold my early videos in high regards.

Also, the ebook comes out on March 20, if anyone cares. I at least wanted to do something creative.

    1. I've thought about doing the same with my videos, since Irate Gamer (and the angry reviewing fad in general) is no more.

    2. AVGN is still about. Granted he sucks now. But he’s still doing it

    3. Well, the AVGN ship has been steering unevenly since 2011.

  2. He's posting quick guerilla-style videos from Toyfair, in character as Puppet Steve, and trying to ad-lib his way through it. Do a shot every time he says "super cool." WARNING: You will die if you do a shot every time he says "super cool."

    1. He keeps outdoing himself. "Bendy And The Ink Machine Lego Construction Sets Fnaf" has no FNAF content except a passing verbal mention, but it does have an uncanny SEVEN "super cools" in two minutes and twenty-three seconds.

    2. Tried watching some of them. Soooo much wrong.
The camera work is abysmal for one thing. Looks like an old cell phone. Glad the people in the comments are calling it out. One video had like 5 seconds of lag.

The voice... has Chris just given up? He's not even trying to pitch himself up, he's just talking in his normal voice but with some "attitude". Do the kids not notice this?
And yeah, "super cool super cool super cool". Get a thesaurus Chris. Shows once again he can not ad lib.

What gets me is how Chris hyper focuses on FNAF and Bendy, with only a few others. Even though Toyfair is massive. No Transformers? No TMNT? No mention of the big change to Power Rangers?

How about the Avengers? He posted a picture on Facebook wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. Why no Avengers videos for Pubba Steve? Kids love Marvel. Showing once again, Chris has no idea what he's doing.

    3. I conjecture that FNAF and Bendy are the franchises that send him free stuff in exchange for him acting interested in it by pointing out obvious features and deeming them super cool.

  3. Off-topic: Someone Deviantartist named "ButterflyBlossoms" basically praised Nikolas Cruz for his actions because it would give her a better chance to become a professional artist. Here's the screencap.

    5. I'm talking about the original post, so..., dude, what the hell? My goodness, think before you spew your ego like that. One thing is, the internet never forgets (one search on your username and I can see everything from Google). Plus, you're a horrible person. Think of all the grieving families.

On a bright side, both his DeviantArt and his Twitter are deactivated as of now. Just when I thought that you can't go lower than Logan Paul...

  4. Maybe I'll talk a little about how I found out about him too... Won't fill an entire post, but here it is.

To start off, I am not exactly a big fan of him. I was just watching a bunch of AVGN videos, then after the Action 52 episode, I went and check out other reviewers, because I was wondering if someone really went through ALL of them (not blaming AVGN for this, since the games are barebone anyway)...

So I found Armake21, he has a video called "2005 Called", or something like that, whereby an Irate Gamer's fanboy was still going around loose. And that's how I knew the guy!

I don't consider him an AVGN rip-off, for most episodes, anyway. What bothers me is his predictable editing (like how the camera is on a far shot when a sprite is going to appear), as well as other meaningless effects and references (e.g. putting SMB pause sounds, which actually bothered me way more than I like), misinformation... The whole nine yards.

His HOVG, in my opinion, has some potential. I suppose that a documentary with wit and humor can work? I don't mean changing the way the games look or distorting history, I mean like put some dry humor or puns into it. Something like miiyouandmii2's Action 52 documentary, or Game Theory!

    1. If you haven't seen "The Video Game Years," it's viewable on YouTube, features many of the top experts in the field including James 'AVGN' Rolfe, and has a light, conversational touch if not full-blown jokes. It also gets its facts right every single time to the best of my knowledge. It doesn't just make every episode of HOVG obsolete before it exists, it's all most people would ever need from a video game history series.

    2. ^ To say nothing of the fact that The Video Game Years actually managed to get to the NES and subsequent generations - something that Chris Bore-ess couldn't accomplish in over seven years.

    3. Ooh thanks for the recommendation! I'll go check it out.

  5. New list of misdeeds/Boresisms that I don't think this blog has covered:

pursuitoftheparanormal.com is currently boasting "NEXT LEVEL GHOST HUNTING THAT BREAKS ALL THE RULES!" in big green text; yeesh. I guess other ghost hunters know what these rules are.

At two places on the page, he boasts that he has appeared on Hardcore Pawn. Someone should offer a cash award if he can produce a clip.

At the bottom of the page, he links to some clips of TV appearances, except Toledo's WTOL11 is touted as "CBS Evening News," Toledo's WNWO 24 is "NBC Evening News" (There's no such program- they have NBC Nightly News), and Toledo's WTVG ch. 13 is "ABC News." How are his fans supposed to find ghosts if clicking one link is too much research for them?

    1. If anyone is an editor on Lost Media Wiki, someone should make an article about this supposed episode. They can get the answer.

    2. He might as well refer to WGTE (Ch. 30) as "PBS News", too, even though the full title is "PBS NewsHour"... oh, wait. At least PBS was smart enough not to book Boring Man.

Also makes me wonder what he'd refer to Fox affiliate WUPW (Ch. 36) as...

    3. I love how he still includes that "seemed like a solid hour" quote that I still think was a veiled insult.

    4. Did he remind us that previously he had the 55th most subscribed channel on YouTube?

    5. By the way, go check out his Facebook page. Chris mentioned he was at Toy Fair and posted a photo of what I think is him experiencing constipation while his Masturbation Hand is wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. (I presume that is the Infinity Gauntlet, I am not well versed with Marvel lore.)

ZOMBIE STEVE: Oooh! Oooh! Unicorn marshmallow!

PUPPET STEVE: (CHUCKLES) That's right, Zombie Steve! These supercool marshmallows look like a supercool unicorn, which is like a kind of horse with one horn! Supercool!

RONNIE: Oh! Oh! Goodness gracious me! These marshmallows look like unicorns! Have we padded out this video enough yet? No? Oh! Oh! Goodness gracious me!

MISTER M: I'd eat them, but unicorn doesn't start with 'M' and I'm too lazy to do any more research.

    2. After doing some research, I found out that unicorns are popular with female girls. There were even some unicorns in My Tiny Pony cartoons and there were some action figures too!

Zombie Steve: Oooh! Oooh! Unicorns! *Buries face in unicorn toys and makes nom-nom noises*

Anyways, My Tiny Pony was from the 80s so I give it a Nostalgia Overload!

      *Explosion effect*

  7. Two "StikBot" videos are up, edited from raw footage taken at ToyFair. If the videos are to be believed, the forthcoming StikBot products are exaggeratedly low in temperature.

  8. It is worth checking out at least one of Chris's Toy Fair videos because he has to portray a more restrained Puppet Steve. It is comical how his voice fluctuates and at times sounds like Chris just has a really bad cold. He still doesn't know much of what he is talking about. In the Transformers video he refers to characters like Headstrong and Rampage as "this Predacon and this Predacon". Instead of naming Ironhide and Barricade he just calls them the "pick-up truck and police car".

  9. Chris also posted another video on Puppet Steve where he stated in the title that the upcoming FNAF movie had a 2020 release date. He also uses the words "FNAF Hollywood Trailer" in a way that makes people think a trailer has been released. The video is nothing more than "Puppa Steve" talking about how Chris Columbus has been confirmed to be writing and directing the movie. But that's as far as production has gotten. There's no trailer or confirmed release date. Yep, lying in a title for views. Bores is such a scumbag scam artist.

    1. Heck, it's still early enough that we can't even be sure the movie will happen. Maybe the public will finally tire of the franchise by the time 2020 rolls around.

  10. The newest video, the economically-titled "Nicktoons 90's LEGO Construction Sets 2018 Toy Fair Ren & Stimpy, Rugrats, Ahh Real Monsters," is a dense jungle of factual errors, mispronunciations, lack of research and "super cools" packed into a minute and a half. It's like a video version of Highlights magazine's "Circle what's wrong with this picture" puzzles.

    4. Ladybuggin has typed some pro-Trump stuff on this very blog, and I seem to remember Bores acting similarly on some of his webpages. I wouldn't accuse him of being an active Nazi or alt-righter myself, but evidence suggests he at least contains the raw ingredients of that shitpie.

    5. So if you're not pro-Democrat, you're a Nazi. That's incredibly MacFarlane. Hell, I didn't vote for the Bloody Bitch in '16 (and it was hours of entertainment to see her legions of asskissers go nuts) and I have my own reservations about Trump, mainly that he's too nice. Things like Charlottesville and stuff are disgusting, but they aren't exactly an unforeseen consequence of the current sociocultural climate.

You know as well as I do that I'm no fan of Boring Man, but I wouldn't go as far as to call him a Nazi.

  11. Off-topic: got a chance to see the new Black Panther movie. Believe the hype! This movie was amazing! T’Challa was great, Killmonger was an amazing adversary, the supporting cast was great too. My favorite secondary character was M’Baku. Dude’s hilarious. When it’s over, it gives a new perspective as a superhero movie. Highly recommended.

  12. Sorry for going off topic but this has me so upset. A Twitch streamer who calls herself Aqualagamer casually admitted to killing a dog while working at an animal hospital because she didn't like the dog's master. When asked if she regretted it, she said, "Shitty dog, shitty person."
