Some Amazing Facebook Insanity

I try to space these out, but this was too crazy to pass up.

First we've got some ghost stuff. His Facebook group isn't seeing any growth, still only at 20 members.
Maybe posting about Ghostbusters toys when this is meant to be a "serious ghost hunting" page isn't the brightest idea? Yeah, rather than post about Ghostbusters at ToyFair on his main page, he posted about it on his ghost group. It's sad how badly he wants to be a genuine Ghostbuster. Could he not just join one of those fan groups they always have around? I'm sure Ohio has a few. *searches* Yep, at least three from a cursory Google search.

But that's nothing compared to this.

Chris commenting on a Ghost Adventures clip he recorded with his potato phone.
I thought the ghost hunting shows were all terrible Chris? Is there something about Ghost Adventures that sets it apart from the others? I know it's the one people are always making fun of (RedLetterMedia, Honest Trailers).
Of course he makes it all about him. "ME ME ME My techniques, my eight years all me!"
If you're curious, the clip shows a "shadow" moving in that window. The shadow looks like an alien. My informant captured the video and sent it to me, and I couldn't stop laughing. That was the phoniest shit ever! So obviously staged. You'd have to be a total moron not to se- oh right... almost forgot who we're dealing with.

But even that's nothing compared to this next part. If you haven't heard by now, E3 has been cancelled this year due to COVID-19 or the Coronavirus. A safe precaution as just about every major gathering has been cancelled. I hope everyone stays safe out there.
Chris... had some bizarre words about this.

... What the fuck are you talking about?!
Do you even know what Gamespot is? They've been around since 1996, a year after E3 started. They didn't take the show over. That's an idiotic mindset. Where did that even come from? "Make money off the event" Everyone does that! Not just Gamespot, but IGN and Kotaku and even your partner GotGame. Do you still even work with them? They still exist, I checked and they posted a review within the last 12 hours.
What kind of moronic idea is "Gamespot took over E3 and pushed out the little guy"? Where did that even come from? Is your tinfoil too tight again?
I love that last question "What will they do now?!" ... The same thing they always do. Report the news and write reviews. Something you gave up on a long time ago. Just because there's not going to be a big gathering in Los Angeles this year doesn't mean we won't get news. If anything, more companies are going to adopt the Nintendo Direct style of messaging. Something they should have done a long time ago.
Interesting how he doesn't mention the reason E3 got cancelled. No word on the Coronavirus. Don't tell me you think it's a hoax. ... Do you?

I'm just amazed he's this dumb and conspiratorial. Then again, it's hard to top "Illuminati imagery on Nickelodeon". I'm surprised more people don't know that he said that.

  1. I know why he liked the Ghost Adventures clip so much. Because they show staged wacky goofy shit, and do a jumpscare, just like Mr. Ghost Behaviorist Ghost Psychologist Man of Science etc. would love to do on his own show (which is never). They channeled his inner fake entertainer conman bullshit. He hides behind a mask of being smart and revolutionary about the paranormal, but deep insinde he's still the same old fake as fuck irate gamer i remember from 2008. Never change, Chris. Never change.

    1. Found it to be entertaining! And yeah... Mortal Kombat on Game Boy doesn't seem to be very good. (I knew of the portable versions [sans the Tiger games] from Video Game Take-Out-- they did an episode 12.5 years prior.)

    2. This was a good old-fashioned episode. Even though I like a lot of the innovative stuff James has thrown in lately, I liked how this one just reviewed the games with no fireworks or marching bands.

  3. I wonder if Chris will get a job at GameStop before they go under.

  4. (After somehow posting it on an article several months old by accident, let's try again and in the proper place this time ^^;)

"Could he not just join one of those fan groups they always have around? "

That implies they'd accept him, given his infamy as av AVGN plagiarist as well as that entire fuckup where he basically declared himself the newest and hottest shit in the "field" of "ghost hunting" to the point where he made that the title of the book.

Imagine if someone was so arrogant they released their supposedly serious book on a given "scientific" topic they claim to have researched by calling it "Astrophysics 2.0" and implying they are better than everyone else in the field.

Granted Ghost Hunters are people who get paid to listen to static and pretend they see stuff when lights are turned off, but the blatant dishonesty that at least a good portion of those that do "field research" aside, no one is gonna like you when you, a relative nobody with a crappy youtube channel about video games and a small time gig teaching ghost bs at some very desperate school after hours, walk up to them and say how much better you are Chris XD

  5. My best theory is that Chris didn't mention the coronavirus due to the fact that it's doing damage to the economy and is likely costing Trump re election.

    2. My apologies for getting to this later. As for the video it's in the middle of editing. The final product is going to be much longer than the other two videos (like a half hour maybe) plus due to real world shit an personal shit I've taken a hiatus from production.

  6. If Chris Bores is still doing game reviews, how would a review of Grandia play out?

    1. "Grandilla is a Japanese Dungeons & Dragons game that Nintendo put out in the '80s where you have to figure out the mysteries of the past. Figure out mysteries? Screw that, I just gotta play the game."

  7. So former CA contributor MikeJ talked about Bores in his video discussing the history of angry game reviewers. https://youtu.be/SGCot5To9Ww

  8. Here is a comment from one Mike Matei, on that Steve sf2 vid with avgn's voice in it, from a month ago:
There are a lot of these smaller arcade reproductions comings out recently like the ones from Numskull. I hope some company works out a way to do more obscure 80's arcade games down the road. Good vid keep it up!

  9. Bores posted that same video on his personal page with this message:

=== I posted this on my Ghost Behaviorist page but I find it dang fascinating so I'll post here too. I must've watched this video 100 times. Super creepy so be warned, but I used to encounter these things at Collingwood a lot when I did tours there. I understand how to manifest this stuff on command which is something I've yet to make public since so many paranormal celebs have already lifted my work for their own shows lately, but we've been working hard on pitching networks my show idea that will revolutionize this field. It's a very long process hopefully it will bear fruit one day. ===

  12. OT: Looks like GameStop has sunk to a new low, forcing stores to stay open AND continue to accept trades, essentially putting all their associates at risk of COVID-19 and putting profit over safety.

  13. OT; has anyone seen this channel my name is Charlie? Dude watches Avgn videos (and others) laughs a little and barely says anything, and gets over 100k views a month. Wtf?

    1. That seems to be your typical "reaction" video in a nutshell-- some guy randomly watching a video and almost not saying a damn thing. Good examples being Tyrone Magnus and CJisSoCool.

  14. Bores latest post:

=== Here’s something to think about in regards to the MCU.

We already seen they slowly started going off the deep end with all their social justice ext, and it is most likely only going to get worse.

Why though? Why is this happening.

Well, a massive issue that the MCU is facing now, ironically is… they have just become to big… To successful.

You see, the way corporate world works, with investors, stocks and so on. Any franchise needs to have a GROWTH rate to be considered profitable at all.

This means, simply earning the SAME as the year before is not enough. There MUST be a growth on a minimum of two percent or it’s not considered profitable.

Facebook ran into an issue with this very thing when they had like 3 bio users and the growth rate stopped and it’s just like… There’s no more people with computers… We ran out of people in the west. What are we supposed to do?!

Sorry! Not our problem, if there is no growth rate you are now a failing company, even if you earn 50+ Bio dollars a year.

Disney and the MCU is now in a similar position. They already HAVE all the old school comic book nerds and they have all the kids.

There aren’t more people in this group, they are already THERE.

So how do we maintain a growth rate on at LEAST 2 percent? … Well we try to expand our reach. We try to get women, POC's and homo sexuals into it.

What ironically happened though is they don’t realize, the women who likes to watch super hero flicks, they are already THERE.
The homo sexual people who likes to watch super hero flicks, are already THERE.
The black people who likes watching super hero flicks… Are already there.

You are not expanding at all. Instead what happened and is happening is that in an attempt to expand their audience they end up alienating their old audience and LOOSING them.

But yeah, it’s just a quick observation of what is happening here and why it’s happening.
And to remind people, Hollywood gives zero fucks about diversity, it's to expand fanbases and earn profit, it's for profit.

Of course all of this is a bit irrelevant right now due to Corona shutting cinemas down all across the globe so they are pushing all the movies back and zero profit.

I am honestly not very sad over that. I really have a love hate relationship with Hollywood right now. I still love a good Hollywood flick, I still love a good Marvel movie.

But Christ sake I HATE their entitlement, virtue signaling and overall behavior. Oscars are failing for a reason, I didn’t watch the show cause I didn’t want to. The few clips I saw afterwards though made me want to gag. It was so cringe, so entitled and so annoying. Hollywood DESERVES to be slapped around and realize the world isn’t about them. We have actual lives around here we worry about. ===

    1. Quick question, why is including more women and poc in Marvel films “alienating” their old audience?

      Delete
    2. It's a talking point made by stupid people and grifters to push far-right agendas. They're selfish idiots that believe the world revolves around them and thus their entertainment must be the same. No women leads, no POC leads, pure white men only. Morons and con artists push these views on even dumber people to push the idea of "cultural collapse" or "the end of Western civilization" or "White Genocide" or whatever garbage talking point they like to shit out.

It doesn't surprise me Chris is like that.

  19. More ghost stuff from Bores on fb, 4 hours ago:
Ha! I got banned and blocked from a ghost group for calling out the complete lunacy of their members comments. So funny because they can’t understand that this IS the very reason why the paranormal field has waned in popularity, attendance is down at paranormal cons and ghost shows are stuck in 2008. The regurgitation of these idiotic statements made by "Google Search" experts and the admins standing up for this only strengthens their 'spoiled child syndromes' they harbor which keeps them locked in their delusional mindset. A shame.
He also shows a screen cap of the conversation that got him kicked out, it was an argument about if you should open a window to let a spirit out, lolololol, and has same classic Bores egotism (“look I’ve actually written the book on ghost hunting 2.0 and understand the science behind this “, “has had a best selling book and constantly talks on national programs”, and probably got kicked out for saying “and btw I’ll probably get kicked out of this group for standing up for common sense”

  20. Someone asked Chris if he was going to do a paranormal YouTube channel and this was his reply:

=== I'd love to do one, but unfortunately all the really cool footage I'm holding onto right now since I've had a lot of my methods ripped off by many big paranormal celebs in this field. But we're pitching to networks. Hopefully I'll have good news soon ===
