More Mario Game Genie Crap

After three weeks of no videos with no explanations to his absence, Chris finally put out a new one. It's also the promised follow-up to the last Mario Game Genie video, which he posted a month ago. Smoooooth.
He claims on his site that he can't always promise videos because of "fatherhood", and yet in the time since the stupid Thanos video, he has posted 25 Puppet Steve videos! You're lying Chris, and I don't know why. Just be truthful, say this is a hobby and you're far more dedicated to dangling keys in front of kids now.

Anyway, this one is called: Super Mario Bros NES Secret Hidden World H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O - Chris NEO Nintendo Game Genie Hack

Thankfully it's only 5:23 (so a little under five minutes excluding the sponsorship). But that only makes me question how this took a month to get out. This can't be that hard, just type in Game Genie codes, record the results, and edit. You don't even need the console, just use an emulator (which is probably what he's been using)

I am never going to get used to the stupid glasses.
"Locked away" Again, not locked away, just rewritten code.
"I've been playing the game Super Mario Bros since 1986" Add 20 years to that.
Recaps the previous video, keeps going on about how they're hidden and locked away. Again, that's not how it works.

First code, leads to World H-1. A looping water world a/la Minus World. Woo...
Second code, I-1. Exact same thing as 3-3 only it loops. Floating shell, "funny" reaction face.
Third code, J-1. It's the same as D-1. Why did you make this video Chris? There's nothing interesting here.
Fourth code, K-1. Looks like a standard level with weird enemy placement. "I just love finding worlds like these" You didn't find it! Seriously, this is like shit-tier Super Mario Maker trash.
"Only in these lost worlds" Ugggggh
L-1 is just 8-1
M-1 is 3-3 again. Though he claims it's World H instead of World I. Editing? What's that?
N-1 is another World 8 stage an O-1 is something from the last video. This is boring. Only morons would think this is fascinating.
He tries other combos, most of them are just levels from the game, one is a blank screen. Chris does a really weak-ass facepalm. The kind that says "It took me 40 takes to do this!"
He does one more code leading to a glitchy world. One that surprisingly doesn't crash.
And he ends the video saying there's still more to come. Oh my god make it stop! Nobody cares about this! The views certainly reflect that. They really didn't care for your stupid Thanos video either, it still hasn't reached 10,000 views. You were too late! You would have gotten tons of views if you made that within a week of Infinity War.

So how long until the last stupid Game Genie video comes out? A week? A month? Just have to wait and see.

Over on Puppet Steve, Chris still doesn't understand that Rick & Morty isn't for kids as he looks at a box of Strawberry Smiggles, a prop box from FYE (according to an Amazon review, it's all marshmallows). For those unaware, this is referencing a scene where they watch Interdimensional Cable and see a commercial for said cereal. Involving a leprechaun with rabbit ears eating Strawberry Smiggles, only for a pair of dead-eye kids to hold him down, cut open his stomach, and eat the cereal found in his entrails. Fun for kids! Chris your obsession with cereal blinds you so much.
He also did a few Incredibles II videos (one with Bowser for some reason), more FNAF bootlegs (nobody cares), a video on Crash Bandicoot mini-figures (I imagine he's never played a Crash game, especially when hack review sites freaked out over how hard it was when playing the N Sane Trilogy), and a weird video that's described as FNAF plushies fighting the Devil from Cuphead over candy. Did someone from the Elsagate crowd ghost-write that?

Buuuut that's not all, we have a ghost update! Over on Facebook, Chris got "candid" and talked about his book. How people are taking it seriously, how "the higher-ups of the ghost community" are somehow suppressing his book and keeping people from reading it, and that once all his ghost knowledge gets out, all those nasty haters are going to pay. This is just a summary, the full thing is badly-written wall of text.

Wow. You really think there's a shady group of ghost experts that are so afraid of you that they're purposely suppressing the book from getting out there? Chris, you're delusional. There's no "paranormal deep state" plotting against you. You claim this whenever things don't go you way. Like how you claimed James Rolfe was under-cutting you, or how Machinima was working against your channel. There's nobody trying to hide your book, you're just an asshole and a terrible author. By chance someone finds your book on Amazon, they'll read the reviews and find the more helpful ones are negative. Or they'll learn about your book on TVTropes' "So Bad It's Horrible" page, which gives a nice little summary about how much of an egotistical little shitbird you are.

Chris, give up on the ghosts. There's nothing there, and if there was, someone much smarter than you would have figured it out.

See you when I see you.

    3. Tim, It was not that novel, lol. But I might have to check it out now.

Harrod, I mean both of those things. I personally find it interesting the way he approaches the paranormal. I'm still a skeptic, but I always found the paranormal to be fascinating and I think it's cool to see a new approach. Chris has done a lot of shady stuff involving Irate Gamer and Puppet Steve is a mess, but his Paranormal stuff has never been shady or poorly made. Just inconsistent as far as videos are concerned

    4. Comedy: I guess my question is, what do you trust him to get right about the afterlife when he can't even get widely-known, Googleable and decades-old information about popular media right?

    5. I have read the book. I have a copy of it. There is far more wrong with the book than many cases of poor grammar. His ego comes out and he wanks over himself in many parts of the book. He contradicts himself. He claims he CREATED A NEW BRANCH OF PSYCHOLOGY. He has no appreciation for scientific methods. He sees a light blink and concludes that spirits can form new relationships. The spirit classification chapters are poorly written, way too long and boring.

The book is a mess and that is the kindest thing I can say about it.

      Delete
    6. I wouldn't call it a mess, boring at times yes. I really don't feel like he throws his ego around in a malicious way. It seems like he is just proud of finding something relatively new and it comes off as bragging.

    7. going to have to respectfully disagree with you, but at least now Bores has a positive reviewer from someone who’s not a paid reviewer that never read it, or a sock puppet.

      Delete
    8. How is claiming he created a new branch of psychology not wanking his video? (Does the American Psychological Association know he created that new branch?) He brought up more than once his YouTube channel and that he was once the 55th most subscribed creator. Chris positioned himself as the only one who could see past the obstacles that all of the other members of the ghost hunting community could not overcome. He claimed to be the one who could bring ghost hunting to new heights because gosh, nobody else thought to communicate with spirits the same way that Chris does. These are major ego wanks. Chris did not find anything new. It has been nearly three years since the book came out and no respectable scientist is using the Bores Spirit CLassification system and Chris himself has made no headway. He can claim that higher ups in the paranormal community are suppressing him all he likes but that is just to cover up the fact that he hasn't accomplished much lately outside of going to Toy Fair to make videos for a YouTube channel about a puppet - and he is afraid to show his face on that channel.

      Delete
    9. I don't like sticking up for Puppet Steve because it's a mess of a channel, but I'm pretty sure Chris doesn't show his face because it would ruin the "illusion" of the puppets being real. Keep in mind, Puppet Steve is made specifically for children, so Chris reveling his face would be like Barney taking the costume off in the middle of the show. (I am in no way comparing the mess of Puppet Steve to a respectable show such as Barney). Plus, he isn't really hiding, he listed the Puppet Steve channel as a featured channel on his Chris Neo channel. Sure he never talks about it or promote on social media, but he clearly is aware people know it's him. This being said, Puppet Steve is just something he does to pay the bills and get free toys, I guess.

      Delete
    10. Comedy, he only put Puppet Steve on his channel after he was outted. He kept it underwraps for 6 or so months before people connected the dots.

      Delete
    11. Yeah, after BatDan told us about Pubba Steve, he had it linked on his YouTube like a week or so later.

      Delete
    12. Yes that's right, but my point is, he isn't trying to hide it. At least not anymore.

      Delete
    13. That's why he never mentions Puppet Steve the Irate Gamer fans? I never said he needed to show himself in a video but he makes no effort to show he is behind it in any way. I asked Linda several times why Chris doesn't show that channel to IG fans on Facebook and she would typically deflect the question or ask why they would be interested.

      Delete
    14. Does he really need to show us it's him? We know it's him, who cares? As a fan of some of Bores' content, I hate Puppet Steve mainly because it's meant for children. I don't think IG fans or fans of any of Bores' content would be interested in it.

      Delete
    15. That's because he's just dangling crappy toys in front of way-too-easily entertained kids. Kids deserve better, the gaming community, even the YouTube community deserves better than Chris' crap.

      Delete
    16. Of course it's bad; dude makes claims and presents them as facts without giving anything close to resembling actual evidence. I've yet to find one "ghost hunter" that I have any real respect for, at least not the ones that believe in the crap and go about trying to prove ghosts are real.

  3. I thought Chris was ashamed of that book. He removed all the videos talking about it from his channel himself ages ago (a move that really makes no damn sense now).

  4. Chris is blinded by greed, by money, and he doesn't do proper research (I mean, there are already videos on the error levels made years ago). All he does is shameless advertising. So does AVGN and every other YouTuber with over one-million subscribers. They don't care about you, they only want stupid green pieces of paper,

    1. I wouldn't say, at all, that James Rolfe doesn't care about his viewers. His videos show an understanding that people have finite time and lots of entertainment choices, and typically are packed with a mix of information and entertainment with minimal time-wasting. Equally important, he shows a great deal of care for the subject matters of his videos- deep and broad knowledge approaching or reaching expertise. Chris has never been in James' league.

    2. @ Jose

that’s very cynical. just because someone is successful, it doesn’t mean they’re greedy and apathetic.

      Delete
    3. I agree with Shaolin and Harrod. YouTube is a business for many and for some an only source of income. Cinnemassacre, mainly James, put a lot of work and time into their content. Chris only really did that with his ghost related stuff and the Irate the 80s videos.

      Delete
    4. Well, AVGN's videos make me uncomfortable, Harrod.

I know that not all youtubers with over one-million subs are greedy, Dave.

    5. Can you cite an example of Chris putting work and time into a ghost video? All I remember is:

(TO CAMERA) "There was a ghost there."

    6. "AVGN and every other YouTuber with over one-million subscribers. They don't care about you, they only want stupid green pieces of paper"

"I know that not all youtubers with over one-million subs are greedy"

      Yeah, okay.

      Delete
    7. Harrod, to be fair there are a good amount of evidence implying Chris put time and effort into his Ghost related videos. First, he started his ghost stuff way before the Irate Gamer fiasco. He bought all the necessary equipment like cameras,k2 meters, other gadgets, and editing equipment which is not cheap. If you watch his paranormal videos you can tell he put a lot of time, money, and effort in them. He is also a ghost tour guide in Toledo (I forgot the name of the building) which tells me he actually cares about ghost stuff and not just doing it for the money like Puppet Steve. And then there's his book which, yes, does feel rushed, but to his defense it's not a cake walk to right and publish novels.

      Delete
    8. The ghost videos may have more work in them than Puppet Steve, but I see a lot more work in something like the Steeplechase scene from HOVG4, with multiple Bores inserted into the game, than walking around and deciding a blinking light means a ghost a) exists and b) is sad.

      Delete
    9. Special effects wise, yes, his IG videos and HOVG series is better, but as far as production value, research and content is concerned, his ghost stuff is just better and much more watchable. At least, I think so.

    10. Yes, every means all. I made a mistake. What I meant to say was that a lot of youtubers with over one-million subs are greedy, but not all of them.

    1. It's pretty odd he would put ADULT SWIM content on the channel since it is for kids, but he did a Rick impression so he must be familiar with the show. 8. So, here's something really funny I only just noticed:

The other day, I was randomly watching one of the many arcade/claw machine channels on YouTube, and I noticed one of the games the guy played looked somewhat familiar. It was The Simpsons Kooky Carnival, and it took me a while to realize...

It's the Simpsons "pinball" game that Chris showed in HOVG part 3. Except it's not even an actual pinball, rather it's one of those ticket games where you drop your token into a chute and try to hit a target.

In fact, here's the actual flyer that was issued to sell it.

For comparison, the actual Simpsons pinball game looks like this.

So yeah, not only did Chris pick a period-inappropriate machine to show, he didn't even check to make sure it was actually pinball. I love how we can still find new research failure even 8 years later.

    1. "This guy sounds just like an atheist, discredit everything as rubbish just because it doesn't suit his train of thought."

Sounds like you are doing the same thing for different reasons. Even if Dan is an atheist (and I do not know or care what his spiritual beliefs are) it has no bearing on whether or not ghosts exist. Keep in mind that there is not one iota of scientific evidence that spirits of deceased humans exist, not one scintilla of objective proof.

You may want to counter that spirits have not been disproven either and that's true but that is not the way science works. If something exists then there is some sort of objective way to prove it exists. I can prove bears exist, even oxygen can be proven to exist. You cannot prove that spirits exist; you can only provide anecdotal evidence (you saw something and say that other people saw it too). That is not objective evidence.

Atheism has nothing to do with the existence of spirits. If they exist then it can be demonstrated that they exist with objective methods that can be observed and reproduced. Chris will never be able to do that no matter how he wants to believe he is contributing to science. And no, there are no "higher-ups" in the paranormal community suppressing Chris's book either. He constantly blames his results on sabotage from other people.
