It's August. Podcasts?

I am convinced that his target date was a lie, something to tell his remaining fans to get them thinking "Summer! He'll be back!"
He has shown no signs of even starting production, mentioning his "lack of time". Yet Chris has plenty of time to listen to podcasts.

Yeah, seemingly out of nowhere, Chris brought up "nerdy podcasts" on his Facebook page. Crying that they all suck and he wants recommendations and is considering starting his own.
I have questions. Which ones are you listening to? What are the problems? What would your own podcast even be about? You know nothing about current events in gaming so that's out of the question. Would it just be a repeat of the Irate Gamer blog? "Alright, I found these Star Wars salt and pepper shakers shaped like C-3PO and R2-D2. They look so life-like and so super cool. I can flavor my food with the force!"

So his fans gave him some. One brought up Pat "The NES Punk" Contri and Ian Ferguson's podcast, but it devolved into "Pat sucks" posts. Though the shocking thing is several fans claiming they want a Ronnie the Skeleton podcast. How would that even work? 2-3 hours of a gibbering moron? Who would want to listen to that? What would Ronnie even talk about? And why does he have so many fans now?

But yeah, I don't see Chris actually taking time to do a podcast. It's just more bait for his fans. He's always going on about how "these guys suck and I can do better" but he never follows up on that. And he never mentions who the other guys are.

He also brought up ghosts again. Thought he was done with those? Apparently not. Then again, it is almost October, and Chris has somehow turned his ghost hunting obsession into a seasonal job. "Oh hey it's almost October, better call that moron that thinks the community center is haunted".

Same old shit over on Puppet Steve. Still talking about Baldi's Basics for some reason. He also posted a couple videos talking about Stephen King's It. Oh yeah, the horror movie about the eldritch monster that takes the form of a clown to MURDER CHILDREN. Perfect material for your toy channel targeted to 7 year olds.
According to my informant, there are comments on the videos that do call him out for talking about adult content like It or South Park or Rick & Morty. Chris just doesn't care.

You know Chris, if you want to bring back Irate Gamer while still following the algorithm's bullshit, just do an LP channel. Post a 15 minute video every day playing a game poorly with your lame-ass commentary sprinkled with "alright" every other sentence. I'm sure that will be a huge hit with your fan-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Yeah it would be boring.

Remember when Bores said IG will be coming back this summer? That might not happen.
He put out a Facebook post saying he's had no free time to work on it. But he also has other projects he's working that he can't discuss due to NDAs. ... I feel like I've heard this excuse before.
It's been 9 months since the last Chris Neo video. The time it takes a baby to be made.

Over on Puppet Steve though, he's been quite busy. Plenty of "free time" to do that huh?
Yesterday he posted *sighs* he posted another damn cereal video, for Garbage Pail Kids. And he clickbaits by saying he eats it from a toilet. It's not an actual toilet, it's a toy. But he is really getting desperate for clicks.
Today though, he posted a video about Avengers Happy Meal toys, with a title that says "Thanos steals them!" This is dumb.
And then my informant watched the video and took this screenshot.

We went from a rather well made Batman costume, to a cheap-ass Power Rangers costume, to another cheap-ass Spider-Man costume (it's so bad the eyes don't even stay on straight) and now... this Thanos trainwreck. He doesn't even have the Infinity Gauntlet!
If you're trying to be professional Chris, you're failing hard.

Lately it feels like Chris is back to throwing things at the wall. His previous cashcows (FNAF and Bendy) aren't milking the gold he needs. Now he's just pumping out shitty video after shitty video.

Think we'll get Irate Gamer at any point this year?

It's Almost Summer

*emerges* Yes I am still alive. There hasn't been much to talk about.

Summer is approaching, which means Chris might actually make new Irate Gamer content. Maybe... knowing him he'll make two videos and disappear again. Or he'll go back on his promise.
Apparently Chris was "surprised" at the positive reception on bringing IG back. Really? That surprised you? People have demanded you bring him back, and it's a surprise there's a positive response to his revival? You clearly have no idea what your fans want. What's left of them...

Over on Puppet Steve, Chris revealed he finally bought a Switch. In April he posted a video where he unboxed a special edition Smash Bros Switch bundle. Four months after Smash's release. Good job on being timely! I say talking about this months later...
He also bought one of those jank third-party controllers just because it had Mario on it. Chris really is a sucker...
I am curious who he played with since the footage shows a second player.

He also tried to tie Bucky O'Hare in with FNAF. Apparently he really REALLY needs FNAF to carry everything.
His clickbait game is getting worse. Following the live-action Sonic movie's delay, he posted a video with an outright lie of a title "Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Cancelled?!" It also has a "Meme reaction". What the hell does that mean?
He also bought a super-cheap Power Rangers costume to use for videos on PR toys. So he invests a good chunk of change into that Batman costume, but for Power Rangers he just goes to Party City and gets the shittiest looking one. Priorities!

I don't have the fortitude, patience, or even care to go through each stupid Puppet Steve video. Godspeed to those that are.

I'm sure we'll eventually hear about the IG revival. Right?

More Confirmation for a "Summer Return"

Finally, the weather is warming up.
So Bores posted something on Facebook, which according to my informant was done in extra big font to signify how important it is.

So yeah, further confirmation that he's doing game reviews again "this summer"
Notice how he specifically says "Irate Gamer" and not "Chris Neo" or something else. Prior to this post, he asked the people on Facebook what he should do. Classic style IG, current Chris Neo, serious stuff, "educational" stuff, and just about every fan said "classic clown classic clown". So it seems it finally penetrated his thick skull that he should keep doing the shit that was giving him views. Notice how there's 65 comments, normally his posts only get at most 4. But this and the last post asking what he should do got way more. It's almost like fans only care about that and not the other shit he does. Though the post about "Illuminati imagery on Nickelodeon" got a lot, but that's mostly people making fun of him. By the way, props to Brad Jones for including a reference to that in his Left Behind video.

Now what does this entail? Is Chris actually going to bring back Irate Gamer? When he launched "Chris Neo" he said it was the Irate Gamer's return, and as we soon saw it wasn't that at all. So is Chris going to do classic clown shit or is it "another new direction" that like Chris Neo will completely bomb because it's not what the people want. He does that so often. "Stop doing Skylanders, or put it on another channel" "Okay... no wait this sucks, more Skylanders!" Who's to say, all we can do now is wait and see.

Weirdly enough, I noticed that Chris shares some parallels with Krusty the Clown. Hear me out. Krusty is only good at one thing, entertaining kids by acting like a buffoon. Krusty's attempts at branching out often end in failure. Adult comedy he fails, serious acting roles he fails, even deviating from the clown act a bit would result in failure. Chris' only success seems to come from acting like a buffoon for kids. Irate Gamer, Puppet Steve, that's where he got the most views. Chris Neo, ghost hunting shit, Letter People, these did not catch on at all. But even then they seem to lose steam, IG went downhill, and Puppet Steve seems to be the same. Despite having over 500k subscribers, the views he gets rarely break 100k now. Hell the last video to do that was one about the Sonic movie posted March 5th. This is not healthy.

Another big question is, if Chris does indeed return to classic style IG, will the fans return too? Despite having 157k subscribers, only a small handful of those bothered to watch Chris Neo. Hard to say what will happen going forward.

Chris' Increasing Apathy and Laziness

Hey. Been a while hasn't it? Yeah, I guess I've been busy, and Chris hasn't really done too much crazy shit. But there's some stuff worth mentioning.

Last month was ToyFair, and he once again covered it as Puppet Steve. However, the editing in these videos has been... sloppy.
Most of the time, Chris' editing has been at least decent, that's like the one thing he could do alright. However, a couple videos show signs of laziness and half-hearted work.

The first instance is in a video on Fortnite figures from McFarlane Toys. Don't know (and don't really care) if he got anything about the figures wrong, but as he's filming he suddenly sees Todd McFarlane himself. McFarlane looks into the camera and says "make sure you listen to Chris, he knows his stuff" (flattery will get you everywhere Todd). Then Chris says in a hushed frightened whisper "Puppet Steve! Puppet Steve! They know me as Puppet Steve!" Yeah. Chris kept that in, and it's still up on his channel.
You couldn't edit that out? Mute the audio and add some narration like "Oh look it's our good friend Todd". It's not like it was super important for him to be in the video, he literally just ducks into it. I doubt the 7 year olds watching even know who Todd McFarlane is so I really don't understand your reasoning.

The second far more sloppy instance was a Mario Kart video, where Chris ends up showing his face at the end. He ended up deleting that video, but reader Jack Cravens managed to save it and upload it to DailyMotion. Thank you Jack. It's the last five seconds or so.
Chris still hasn't reuploaded the video, even though it's like the easiest thing to edit. Just chop out the footage. How dumb are you Chris?

There's probably others, but those were the most notable. What is Chris doing? Is he rushing these videos for the ad revenue? It feels like he's completely half-assing Puppet Steve videos these days. He barely does the voice too. He probably thinks "I have 500k subscribers now, I don't have to care". A mistake he probably made back on the Irate Gamer when he reached 100k subscribers.

There was one thing that surprised me. Some time ago on his Facebook page, someone asked about more IG/Chris Neo videos, and he responded "I'm busy with my kids channel". So yeah, I think that's the first time he's actually acknowledged Puppet Steve on his own page. Why does it take Chris a long time to address things like this? "You ripped off the AVGN" "NO I DIDN'T! *block block block*" "Okay maybe I did..." "You're Puppet Steve" "NO I'M NOT! *block block block* "Okay maybe I am..." This isn't how to confront things Chris.

Otherwise... there's not much else. Nothing on "Chris Neo", and Puppet Steve is heavily increasing the clickbait. Including a video titled "MINECRAFT'S LAST FIGURES?!" ... You'd have to be fucking stupid to think that.

I guess that's all.

Bores and His Possible Issues with Women

I'm gonna tackle something a little delicate today.

The other day, Bores posted on Facebook an "angry" post about how one of the stars of the new Men in Black movie "Men in Black: International" is a woman (played by Tessa Thompson), saying it shouldn't be called "Men in Black" now.
That is monumentally stupid Chris. Also, there's been plenty of women in the MIB series. The first movie ended with Linda Fiorentino's Dr. Weaver becoming Agent L. While she was written out for the sequels, she was a mainstay in the animated series. The third movie reveals that the head of the MIB is a woman (played by Emma Thompson, who is reprising her role for the new movie). Just because their organization has "Men" in the title doesn't mean it's exclusively men. How dumb are you Chris?

Thankfully, most of the comments called out how stupid that was. He got more comments for that post than he normally does.

This next part though, isn't so funny. The other day I got an e-mail telling me about an interesting comment left on CommonNonsenseMedia's documentary about Bores.

Take what's about to posted with a big grain of salt.

A user named Brittni Abernathy stated that Chris is a douchebag in real life. Her fiancee was married to Chris' current wife (Nicole) prior to this. It seems Nicole went up to Brittni in her car and slapped her, a fight broke out, then Chris grabbed Brittni and punched her. Brittni's fiancee went after Chris, and something happened and now Chris is paranoid and keeps a bat by his door.

The person that e-mailed me did a search on Brittni Abernathy and found her in Toledo, where Bores currently lives.
Now of course there's a lot of info we don't have. What prompted this event to happen being a big one.
I'm not going to distrust her, this doesn't seem like something someone would make up, especially for a fallen "star" like Bores. But always, ALWAYS, take these stories with a grain of salt.

I'm bringing this up as a warning, that Bores could likely hurt others out there.

From all this, and past comments like his initial thoughts on the 2016 Ghostbusters and a post on his old site where he thought Cammy from Street Fighter would be pregnant and raising kids, I get the feeling Bores has issues with women.
We know he worships Alex Jones, we know he supports Trump, and from some research into his family, he was likely raised in a super-religious household that probably instilled a lot of outdated values into him. Including the idea that women are inferior and should be treated as such. While it's still possible to change for the better, I think someone as stubborn as Chris is stuck in his ways. All I can say is be careful people close to him or his family.

No Reviews Until Summer?

We're well into January and Bores still ignores his "Chris Neo" channel, and it may be that way for a loooong while. Over on Facebook, one guy (claiming to be a game journalist pffft) noted the announcement of Series 2 of Arcade1Up (those crazy expensive replica arcade cabinets), hoping Chris would do a video about them. He responded that "he's too busy" and not to expect any video game reviews until summer. Seriously? How hard can it be to do an unscripted video with no jokes and barely any commentary? I doubt he's doing more ghost shit, so the only other thing he's really busy with is Puppet Steve. Which connects to the next subject.

Another user called him out for not doing his old style of reviews anymore and Chris responded that it's no longer feasible because YouTube keeps changing the "algorhythms". That is how he typed it. Here's the thing, no algorithm can save you. You did yourself in, and if you think algorithms can help your new format you are a bigger fool than I thought. It's clear nobody is falling for your weak clickbait. You can easily get around this if you opened a Patreon, but for some reason you refused to do it. You didn't even give a good reason.
And for someone that complains about the algorithms, you loooooove to exploit it as a Puppet Steve. You can't do Irate Gamer videos anymore, but 50 videos about FNAF and Bendy is the real shit. It'd be one thing if you actually cared but you clearly don't, this is obviously just a tool to make money now. You don't even bother doing the voice. Yes, YouTube is awful, but there are ways around it if you take the time to learn and to invest in other money making methods. Making money solely through YouTube is no longer possible. You have sponsors but when you don't make videos, it doesn't matter.

Why are you so obstinate about all this? It's been almost 12 years since you seriously got into YouTube, nothing stays the same in that amount of time. You have to adapt, but instead you cry that nothing is the same, and make up conspiracies about why things change. You're essentially the Alex Jones of YouTube bullshit, and I want to tell you that's not a good thing since I know you're a fan of his Chris.

Anyway, couple of other things. He's excited for the new Ghostbusters movie (no title given), so much so he made a Puppet Steve reaction video to the teaser (been a while since one of those). Even though it's the rare case of a teaser actually being a teaser, and it showed nothing but the Ecto-1 in a barn. That's it. Yet somehow Chris made a 5 minute video about it. Makes me wonder how shitty "nerd culture" channels do the same.

He's also excited for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, a newly announced fighting game that looks like a low-end PS3 game. I thought it was a port of the mobile title Legacy Wars, but they say it's a new game, with 3v3 fighting a/la Marvel vs Capcom and Dragon Ball FighterZ (you could have shown that in the trailer). Despite looking weak, Chris marked out about it, and of course the Green Ranger. Your fanboy-ism for Tommy Oliver is really dumb and reeks of being try-hard.
I wonder... since Hasbro is working on a sequel to the 2017 movie, which will include Tommy, will the cast get their wish of a female Tommy? A Tomi Oliver if you will? I wonder how Chris will react to that.

Welp, who knows what's going to happen between now and June or July or whenever he decides to stop playing with toys. Maybe we'll get some more Tinfoil Chris in that time?
